Who We are

The Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Inc. (MAGDRL) was organized in 1979 to serve the seven states of the Mid-Atlantic region.  Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Great Danes in need.  As a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to providing safe, loving foster homes and essential care for these gentle giants while they await their forever families.   We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.

MAGDRL helps by – 

  • Rescuing Danes who have been abandoned, neglected or surrendered
  • Providing all necessary veterinary treatment to support each Dane’s health and well-being
  • Promoting responsible pet ownership by spaying or neutering all Danes that enter our rescue
  • Helping Danes build confidence through socialization and training
  • Finding the perfect forever home for every Dane in our care
