Dolly is a delightful 2-year-old girl with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. She thrives on affection, is incredibly loyal, and has a personality that will melt your heart. Although she may take a few minutes to warm up to new faces and other dogs, once she does, she fits right in and feels at home. Dolly quickly adjusted to her foster home, which she shares with one male and one female Dane and found her groove in the first day. She is adaptable and great with other dogs, though her behavior around cats is unknown.
Dolly has no concept of personal space and will happily get to know other dogs by sniffing them. She loves interacting with people and other dogs but can also entertain herself. While she gently plays with stuffed toys, she prefers chew toys like stuffed bones, cow hooves, and sheep horns. Though she was reported to enjoy “de-stuffing” toys, all her stuffed toys have remained intact.
Being young and playful, Dolly is not yet aware of her size and will eagerly hop onto the couch to cuddle. She loves giving and receiving attention, and you’ll often find her shadowing you around the house. Even when napping, her tail starts thumping at the sound of your voice. Dolly is always happy, easy-going, and loves to explore.
Dolly is treat-driven, highly motivated, and a fast learner. She is crate trained, willingly climbs into her crate for a small treat, and doesn’t cry or whine while inside. Dolly is very smart and observant. Within hours of arriving at her foster home, she learned to ring a bell to go outside by watching the other dogs. She loves being where the action is and will follow anyone moving about. She can easily jump over a 3-foot baby gate. Dolly enjoys outdoor activities, exploring, and running in the yard. Indoors, she often watches deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds through windows without barking or showing interest in chasing them.
Dolly would make an excellent companion for outdoor adventures. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this wonderful girl, please reach out. Dolly deserves a loving family that can give her the attention and care she needs. Let’s find Dolly her forever home where she can continue to bring joy and laughter!
