Gwen

Gwen hasn’t had the easiest start to her early life. She was taken in by MAGDRL in October 2024 from a cruelty case.  There were several dogs seized that day and we would love to give this little lady the life her parents never got to have. This 3 month pup is quickly learning that there is kindness in the world and she is enjoying figuring out life outside of the small backyard pen she was forced to live in.  

Gwen is a super sweet puppy that is enjoying all the good things that life is now bringing her way. She is very food motivated, so is eager to learn new things or figure out what she’s supposed to do to earn any treats that are offered. She’s been catching on quickly to the routine of the house, and follows the lead of the two adult Danes that she’s living with in her foster home. She loves to play with toys and go on walks. Right now, she’s on the small side for a Dane her age. 

Gwen is sometimes a little shy when situations are overwhelming (like meeting entire groups of people). This makes her want to run and hide. But she only takes a few minutes to get comfortable with the situation and then she’s interested in meeting everyone! She is being introduced to new experiences daily with lots of positive reinforcement and is becoming more curious and less shy. Gwen has been around adults, kids, other dogs and cats, and has done well with all of them. She’s also a quick learner. Gwen is being crate trained and is getting more secure and comfortable by the day with the crate. She is also starting to understand that the best way to earn treats and food is to sit quietly. As long as her forever family continues to give her training and consistency, she’s going to be a really great dog!
