Henry is a young neutered harlequin male found as a stray roaming loose with a female puppy and picked up by Animal Control. The shelter immediately asked MAGDRL to take these Danes who both were found to be the sweetest Danes you could meet.
Henry however has either an old injury or a congenital deformity in his right hip which we are working with an orthopedist to find a diagnosis and treat accordingly. Henry has needed multiple sterile aspirations of the fluid around his hip which indicate it may be an infection causing the swelling and pain. The leg is extremely atrophied and it is obviously painful. He completed one course of antibiotics which hasn’t given him any improvement. We aren’t sure if he will benefit from a surgical procedure at this time, but the diagnostic testing he has needed so far has been quite costly.
Henry is so sweet and loving in his foster home and gets along great with his Dane foster sister.
Please consider donating to help cover the cost of Henry’s expenses.
